Ben Lawers-Loch Lyon Circuit

OS Map: Landranger 51

Sketch map of Ben Lawers-Loch Lyon circuit

Starting at Killin (NN572332), head north out of the town on the A827 around Loch Tay. About half a mile past Milton Morenish (NN620363), turn left up the hill to the Ben Lawers Visitors Centre. Climb the hill, past the visitor's centre, passing Meall nan Tarmachan and Lochan na Lairige on your left and Beinn Glas on your right above the centre. The top of the pass is at 550 metres (NN592417). Down the other side to Bridge of Balgie (NN576468), and turn left. Take this small road all the way to Loch Lyon, taking the left fork (obvious) at Gallin (NN536456) and riding past Kenknock and Cashlie to Pubil, at the end of the Loch. Take the left road (NN459418) and follow the road over the pass (high point 500 metres, at NN447392) and down to Kenknock (another one!). Take the left fork if it's not obvious at NN461370 and left again at Kenknock itself (NN466364) and follow the road past Tullich, Duncroist and Boreland back to the A827 and Killin.

Distance is about 38 miles, with about 712 metres of climbing.
